What's New In Payments 2015

Grenada, MS (Date Rescheduled FROM 2/25/15 and 3/5/15 Due to Anticipated Inclement Weather)

Prepare Now for Recent and Upcoming Nacha ACH Rule Changes!

2015 will be a year unlike any other in the ACH Network. Nine recently passed ballots will change the way return rates are measured and implement fees for those returns. Third Party issues are also a hot topic in the rule changes for 2015. This session is crucial to receive the tools you need to avoid unnecessary rules violations, customer dissatisfaction and financial losses because of non-compliance. You will gain the knowledge of how the rules changes for 2015 and beyond will affect you, your Originators and the ACH Network. A “basic” level of ACH knowledge is required.

These changes make it vital for you to stay abreast of what you need to do to remain in compliance with the ACH Rules. We will ensure you are prepared and ready by providing a thorough review of Rule changes that occurred in 2014 and the upcoming changes for 2015. We will present the information needed for each participant to apply these changes effectively. As we do each year in this workshop, a set of rules tabs will be provided for quick reference when handling the most common ACH issues, such as RDFI and ODFI responsibilities, return reason codes, return deadlines, unauthorized returns and much more.

Topics to be covered in the workshop include:

  • Reducing the existing Return Rate threshold for unauthorized debits (R05, R07, R10, R29, and R51) from 1.0% to 0.5%
  • Establishing an inquiry process to evaluate and research cases in which an Originator’s administrative returns (R02, R03 and R04) exceed 3%
  • Establishing an inquiry process to evaluate and research cases in which an Originator’s overall returns (excluding RCK entries) exceed 15%
  • Defining and establishing a methodology for a fee paid by the ODFI to the RDFI for returns for unauthorized debits
  • Defining and establishing new standards for reinitiated entries
  • Clarifying Third Party Sender issues
  • Notification of Change time period change
  • Person-to-Person WEB credit entries
  • And much more
