The ABCs of ACH

Webinar

This ACH Fundamental training provides a foundational overview of the Automated Clearing House (ACH) Network, focusing on its role in facilitating secure, efficient electronic payments between banks, businesses, and consumers. The session covers the structure of the ACH system, key participants (such as Originators, Receivers, ODFIs, and RDFIs), types of transactions, and the end-to-end payment cycle from initiation to settlement.

Participants learn about compliance requirements, including Nacha Operating Rules and Regulation E, as well as best practices for risk management and dispute resolution. The training also introduces standard ACH terminology and SEC codes, and emphasizes practical, real-world applications such as payroll, vendor payments, and consumer transfers, highlighting the importance of secure and efficient transaction handling.

Attendance at this session is recommended for employees new to ACH operations, staff responsible for ACH processing who need a refresher, and compliance or risk management personnel who must maintain operational effectiveness and ensure regulatory compliance.
