KHP: Bank robbery suspect dies from self-inflicted gunshot after leading troopers on 3-county chase

SALINE COUNTY, Kan. (KWCH) - Update: A 47-year-old man identified as a bank robbery suspect is dead from a self-inflicted gunshot following a chase that went through parts of three counties, the Kansas Highway Patrol confirmed. The FBI, leading the investigation into the bank robbery reported in Topeka, identified the suspected bank robber as Anthony Marshall, Jr.

A joint news release from the FBI, the Topeka Police Department and the KHP said Marshall was accused of robbing the Equity Bank on Southwest 29th Street in Topeka on Monday. At about 10:14 a.m. Tuesday, KHP troopers assisted law enforcement in Marion County in a chase involving the suspected bank robber.
