TPS registration helps maintain safety and security in the ACH Network. It also promotes consistent customer due diligence among all ODFIs, and serves as a tool to support Nacha’s continuing efforts to maintain ACH Network quality.

The Nacha Operating Rules (Rules) require all Originating Depository Financial Institutions (ODFI) to register their Third-Party Sender (TPS) relationships, or state that they do not have any with Nacha.

Nacha notifies ODFIs via an enforcement action for those not registered on the Nacha Risk Management Portal. Many ODFIs are unaware of this requirement, often times learning about it during their annual audit or once contacted by Nacha.

Don’t let this happen to your organization! All ODFIs need to understand the process to report, the possible consequences for non-compliance and the educational opportunities Nacha and the regional Payments Associations can offer to ensure your organization is well versed on the registration process. Get your questions answered by experts who work with the Third-Party Sender registration process from start to finish.
